Burnley Appoint Vincent Kompany as New Manager
Former Manchester City captain takes over at Turf Moor
Kompany signs three-year deal after leaving Anderlecht
Premier League club Burnley have appointed Vincent Kompany as their new manager on a three-year contract. The Belgian left his role as Anderlecht boss after two years to take over at Turf Moor.
Kompany is a former Manchester City captain and won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and four League Cups with the club. He also played for Hamburg and Anderlecht.
Burnley were relegated from the Premier League last season and are looking to return to the top flight at the first time of asking. Kompany will be tasked with leading that charge.
