Arnett Out as Head Coach of Mississippi State Football
Former analyst set to lead the Bulldogs
After less than a full season at Mississippi State, Zach Arnett is out as head football coach.
The university made the announcement on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, following a 3-9 record under Arnett. Arnett, 37, was hired in December 2022 after serving as an analyst at Ole Miss.
Arnett's firing comes after a tumultuous season for the Bulldogs, who lost their head coach, Mike Leach, to a heart condition in December 2022.
Mississippi State is expected to name a new head coach in the coming weeks.
