D-backs' Smith goes deep 3 times
Pavin Smith hit three home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in a career-high eight runs as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers 13-10 on Saturday night in Phoenix.
Smith became the first Diamondbacks player with a three-homer game since Jake Lamb on May 18, 2017.
Smith's three homers came against three different pitchers. He hit a solo homer off Tony Gonsolin in the first inning, a grand slam off reliever Phil Bickford in the third and a three-run homer off reliever Jake Reed in the fifth.
Dodgers' Taylor homers twice
Chris Taylor hit two home runs for the Dodgers, who have lost four consecutive games after winning 12 in a row.
Taylor hit a solo homer off Diamondbacks starter Merrill Kelly in the second inning and a two-run homer off reliever Noe Ramirez in the sixth.

The Diamondbacks (48-84) will host the Dodgers (101-41) in the finale of their three-game series on Sunday afternoon. Diamondbacks right-hander Zac Gallen (12-3, 2.44 ERA) will start against Dodgers right-hander Walker Buehler (16-4, 2.06 ERA).
