David Lynch And Journalist Cary Tennis Fight Against Time To Finish The Final Book
Movie buffs and fans might remember David Lynch for his renowned work in TV shows and films, such as Twin Peaks and Eraserhead. However, not everyone knows that the talented man is also a writer.
David Lynch and renowned journalist and author, Cary Tennis have collaborated on three books: “Catching the Big Fish,” “Room to Dream,” and “David Lynch Interviews.” the author duo have put pen to paper yet again, working on a fourth, purportedly final book. However, they are against the clock; time is running out.
In an interview with The Guardian, Tennis reveals that Lynch was diagnosed with emphysema. The illness has caused Lynch to use an inhaler and left him largely homebound. Tennis says that the condition makes the act of “going to a set and spending 14 hours a day is just not on the cards anymore.” Consequently, Tennis remarks that “There will not be another movie.” Originally eager to get back to directing, Lynch has now come to terms with the fact that his filmmaking days seem to be over. Instead, he focuses on working with Tennis to complete their current literary project. The duo are hard at work, racing against time to finish the book by fall.
Everyone here at The Nerd Stash is wishing David Lynch well in his current health battle. We look forward to the upcoming book and any future projects he pursues.
