Changing your name on Facebook

A step-by-step guide

Step 1: Go to your profile

Click on your name in the top right corner of the Facebook homepage.

Step 2: Click on "Settings"

This will take you to your account settings page.

Step 3: Click on "Name"

This will take you to the name settings page.

Step 4: Enter your new name

In the "Name" field, enter your new first and last name.

Step 5: Click on "Save Changes"

Your name will now be changed on Facebook.

Additional information

You can only change your name on Facebook once every 60 days.

If you need to change your name for legal reasons, you can submit a request to Facebook's support team.

Your name on Facebook must be your real name.
